Project: Powerwash Exterior Surfaces
Chester Redding and his helper did an excellent job and I would hire them again. They arrived when they said they would both for the estimate and to do the washing. Power washing involved wetting down one side of the house with a soapy mixture, letting it work while wetting down the second side, and then rinsing the dirt off the first side, etc. I was much more comfortable with this process than with pressure washing which I understand can take the paint off along with the dirt. The buffer they used on our sidewalks did an absolutely amazing job! Our acuba, hydrangas, azaleas, and roses located next to the house were unaffected by the spray. A young volunteer tomato plant and a potted bee balm did not do so well but did survive. Word of caution: even at the lower pressure, some water came through our mail slot and some got into an outside electrical outlet (which tripped the circuit breaker repeatedly until it had dried out). Chester recognized the mail slot issue immediately and what little got through was easily dried up with a towel. Other openings may need to be covered to avoid leakage like we had in our basement. But this was the best house washing experience we have had!
